CPAP Buddy provides continuous monitoring of delivered CPAP level as well as the skin contact pressure, displaying measurements on a built-in LCD screen at the bedside.

Using a multicolored LED indicator mounted on the CPAP interface itself, CPAP Buddy provides continuous visual feedback of the quality of the CPAP interface application.

CPAP Buddy can measure the interface contact pressure and alert bedside staff to excessive pressures reducing the risk of pressure sores.

Continuous visual feedback

CPAP Buddy provides continuous real-time visual feedback of the quality of the CPAP interface application using a LED light attached to the interface itself.

The colour of the LED is adjusted in a scale from red to blue based on the current measurements of the delivered CPAP level, and the interface-skin contact pressure.

Excessive interface-mask contact pressure

The LED turns more red as excessive interface-skin contact pressure is detected. The contact pressure can then be reduced by adjusting the strap tension, re-positioning the interface, or selecting a different sized interface.

Insufficient delivered CPAP support

The LED turns more blue as the measured CPAP pressure deviates from the selected target pressure. The CPAP pressure can then be reduced by adjusting the strap tension, re-positioning the interface, or selecting a different size interface.

The "sweet-spot" has been found

A clear LED indicates the "sweet spot" has been found, with minimal interface-skin contact pressure and CPAP pressure at the set level.
